I am now jobless

Yesterday was my last day at work! I have mixed feelings about it. I am sad to be leaving the people behind, and mostly I did enjoy my job, but on the other hand, I am excited about the big adventure that is upon us, so I can't be too sad.

We had a bit of a send off - BBQ lunch and then I was presented with some gifts and a card, signed by my co-workers. The thing that got me though, was the hi vis vest! I had expressed a thought that I might get everyone to sign my vest on my last day. Seaswift went one better - I don't know who was behind it, but I have my thoughts! They had a new one embroidered with the Seaswift logo (so I think I might have a one of a kind!) and people signed it for me! Will have to take some photos and then do a scrap book page about it! Now why would I want to do that??

Today should be the start of the packing and cleaning to get out of our house, and also to be helping Sarah, but........

Sarah has soccer and gymnastics for the kids this morning and I want to go and visit the new retail shop front for Scrap Therapy in Babinda, so Nerida and I are going to go for a drive to visit the shop. I really want to see it before I go, so I can visualise it. Might even buy something that I will then have to pack! Though Paul is coming, so he might put the brakes on that!

Nerida wants to weigh in at the chemist, so I will too, though I am dreading it, as I have not been at all disciplined the last week or two, but I will get back on track, as I so don't want to put on the extra weight again!

Hello!

Well, my first post on my new blog! I am still in shock that I even got to set it up. Maybe I am not quite to technologically challenged as I think!

Not much on today - have to decorate Olivia's birthday cake - big responsibility. Sarah wants me to put marshmallow flowers on it and I have never done it before and she is the queen of marshmallow flowers! Oh the responsibility! At least I know the cake will taste good - its a tried and tested old favourite recipe.

We had our garage sale yesterday - still seem to have a lot of junk left, but we took nearly $300.00, so not too bad at all.

My last week of working for Seaswift this coming week. I don't know exactly how I feel about it - sad in a way, as I have loved working there (most of the time, anyway), but then again, it will be nice to have a bit of freedom for a while to concentrate on the move to Tasmania.
